The stunning exterior of the newly opened Museum of the West, designed by Studio MA.
Just an hour north of Phoenix, at the end of dirt road, Paolo Soleri’s Arcosanti carries on – back to the future, which was 1970, when all things seemed possible.
Other highpoints of the journey….
Soleri’s pedestrian bridge back in Scottsdale.
The SkySpace by James Turrell at SMoCA.
And the Valley Ho Hotel, designed in 1956 by Edward L. Varney, where Robert Wagner and Natalie Wood held their wedding reception the next year.
